Dear Fonner Park Race Fans, Horsemen and Employees, January 26, 2021
As we enter our 2021 horseracing season at Fonner Park, there is a 75% seating format for all interior sections. While social distancing or mask/face covering stipulations have evolved from “required” to “recommended,” we will adhere to mask/face covering and social distancing requirements until further notice. Masks will be required (but not provided) to enter and must be worn when not seated.
You must wear a mask unless you are seated or are drinking/eating.
A pattern to determine the elimination of tables was established to achieve the 75% capacity limitation.
We have eliminated over 130 tables (and the associated chairs) in the: Clubhouse, Turf Club, Skyline, Mezzanine and Concourse sections. There will be no live music in the Skyline Pub.
Many plastic shields have been installed at the mutuel windows, keno writers and concession stands. Plus, we have installed a new feature in our HVAC air handling systems that distributes ions into the air that fight viruses and bacteria. Also, guests will be asked to kindly keep a proper distance from others when standing in a service line.
There will be much publicity should we advance to 100% capacity before the end of the 2021 season.
Please continue to utilize this website for News & Updates.
I am hopeful that most will have an open mind in understanding the cause of this one-time, necessary inconvenience. As a reminder, COVID-19, and the social expectations, regulations and responsible community practices, is the cause.
