About the Event

All proceeds will benefit our Annual Support Campaign which aims to provide over $130,000 in financial assistance for membership and program scholarships at the Grand Island Y. These funds ensure everyone, without regard to age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive at the Y. 

About the Grand Island Y

Our Mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

For over 140 years we have offered programs to strengthen our community by helping kids reach their potential, individuals and families achieve better health and encourage everyone to get involved and make their communities better.  Our areas of impact in our community are youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We offer youth and adult sports; swim lesson, swim team, and water exercise; and fitness classes and workout equipment. We serve children and adults of all ages. The Y supports families with our Child Development Center for infants, toddlers and preschoolers as well as with the Fun Clubs for youth ages 5 through 12. We welcome members regardless of their ability to pay through the Open Doors program which is supported by the Annual Community Support Campaign. Our funding comes through the campaign, membership fees, grants, donations and fundraisers.
